It’s very hard to put my feelings into words, especially when it comes to one of the most important people in my life. My feelings go beyond my words. Even if I was here days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, a lifetime, it wouldn’t be enough to explain and show how much this person means to me. But, I will do my best.
Joseph Adam Jonas, you are my guardian angel. You changed me. You changed my life and there are no enough words to describe how thankful I am, how glad I am for having you in my life. You remind me of the moon. You seem so close but you’re so far away. But the distance between us is not an obstacle for me. The distance doesn’t make me love you less and it never will. It only makes it stronger. My love for you is indescribable and infinite.
When I look at your pictures, the first thing I look is at your big and beautiful eyes and then I feel something I am only able to feel when I look at you. Something unexplainable and stronger than me and my feelings could ever be together. Something that gives me hope to keep holding on.
I wake up every morning, thinking about you and I fall asleep with the exactly same thoughts. You, only you. Why? Because you’re my strength. You are the reason why I want to fight for my dreams.
Is it hard to fall in with you? No, it’s quite easy and you know why? Because when I first saw you, I fell something very powerful beating against my heart. It was love. It has been over than 4 years and I’m still in love with you and I always will. And it gets stronger every day. You have taught me so much. You have been there for me when nobody else was.
I will always support you, against everything, against everyone. I will stand up with you forever, no matter what. I will always try to make people see how incredible, strong, confident, wonderful, sweet, kind and beautiful you are. Outside and mostly, inside. You are definitely everything I could ever wish for and so much more.
When you smile, the rest of the world seems to quickly disappear. It makes everything look so much easier. You make me smile. Even at the darkest of times. You can make the greyest sky go away. You can stop the rain from falling. You make my day brighter. You can stop the world for turning around with a simple act, with a simple smile.
Actually, I’m going to tell you something that has been haunting me since it happened. Two years ago, I won a contest what involved the chance to meet you and your brothers in Barcelona, Spain. I thought it was going to be the best day of my life. I was going to see my angels. I was going to be with my angels. I was so excited. But everything had gone wrong. I was at the airport, always talking about you, about everything I was going to tell you. My mom gave the tickets to the assistant so she could check them and approve and then she said: ‘You should have a permission paper with your dad’s signature so you can travel out of the country.’ Yeah, I didn’t. I didn’t because my dad wasn’t working in my country (Portugal). We called him, he did send the permission to the airport but they told me I couldn’t go because they didn’t receive my dad’s e-mail or fax. He did everything he could. I couldn’t stop crying. I never cried that much. I cried for over 7 hours. It was unfair. It was one of the worst days of my life.
Today, I still feel the same way I felt two years ago. Today my dream stills the same: get the chance to meet you.
You’ve always been with me, through the good and bad times and I just want to thank you for that, baby Joe.
